Marquise Davon Richards is a Philly-based passionate educator, podcaster, and activist. He is the host of the award-winning "Keepin' It a Bean" podcast that brings together conversation and culture over coffee. He also hosts Due Diligence, a live music dissection event dedicated to local-Philly artists.
Marquise has a deep-rooted belief in the power of education to transform lives. He has developed a Black Masculinity seminar that brings together feminist thought, social emotional learning, and personal development skills for young boys and men. His particular passion is for prison abolition, educational justice, and pushes for harm reduction within the Black community.
Marquise is the recipient of Color of Change's Chinua Achebe Storytelling Award for his work in education and use of podcasting as an avenue to incite change. Lastly, Marquise is a proud left-handed Virgo, self-proclaimed archivist of the Bey Hive, and lover of coffee that tries to bring a smile to one person a day.
